Question 7 Evaluation
Transcript of Question 7 Preliminary to Final Product By Victor Austria Preliminary To Full Product Magazine Conventions
What Others have said about the finished product Typical magazines would obviously contain a masthead, a few sell lines and other micro aspects such as a bar code Since the student magazine was the preliminary task I have improved on all my skills as a researcher and developer. Progress From Student Magazine Throughout the whole process, many decisions were made, from choosing the right photo for each of the pages required to thinking about what needed to be written in the text Decisions Made Sketching required something to base on which I did however the product only has some similarities to the sketch as other aspects were brought along the way such as the type of shot which kept on changing when producing the magazine. Initial Sketching to Final Product Others have said that the magazine looks real, as if it were a tangible product and they would like to read it for real. They also liked how the font was consistent during the whole magazine along with colour and design I have learned that magazine production takes time and a lot of drafting throughout the whole process in order to make a product that you are happy with Also, things don't always go to plan as shots that were expected to be placed in the front cover, contents page and double page spread were not intended to be place there but have significantly been placed somewhere else I've have enhanced my skills as a researcher as I have found even better ways to obtain information such as doing creating online surveys so that participants are easier to reach, communicate with. I have improved on my developer skills as I have created aspects of music magazines which are very conventional as the final magazine looks as if the sell lines are actually selling the magazine Here you can see some similarities between the magazine sketch and front cover, for example the model pose of the sketch and front cover is very similar but the front cover model is holding an instrument to give the music iconography of the magazine. Here the Photo pose had changed in order for a 50:50 ratio of text and image so that the double page spread is balanced in the eyes of the readers, giving the best of both aspects The contents page sketch had been remarkably similar to the actual contents page which is good as time was saved when making this
