• 1. The Process of Constructing the Music Magazine By Victor Austria
• 2. The Main ProcessResearch was the first process needed to make the product as I needed to know who my target demographic was in order to sell the right product for them. This was carried out thorough a questionnaire that I gave to a specific age group so that I knew who I wanted to sell the magazine towardsPlanning came after which required a lot of sketching and what my target demographic really wantedDrafting was done straight after as camera shots were taken and I needed to know how my magazine’s layout should be so that time is used prudentlyDevelopment was when everything was being put together from the mind into digital formatAnd now evaluating the final work is the final process where I assess how I did during the whole process.
• 3. Type of Camera Used• For the main photos used in my magazine, a bridge camera was used. While the smaller pictures were shot with my phone which has an 8 megapixel camera. During the shooting we were told not to use flash and to check the camera’s iso since this sets how much light gets within a camera. Also flash was not supposed to be used as the flash is instant and can make the photograph seem unnatural. Manual Focus was also said as sometimes the camera won’t know what or who you want to focus on.
• 4. Camera continuedAnother camera technique introduced was what type of shot was needed and the background. Shots varied from different styles of genre and the background needed to be plain or be something like a concert background in order to fit the genre. This was a bit hard since, locations are very hard to find and were bound to busy

The Websites Used• Dafont.com was a website used during the production of the magazine; this helped me as I was able to get a font for the masthead and main sell lines of the magazine since the fonts on the software did not satisfy me.• Also whenever I needed help or inspiration I would look at magazine websites such as Kerrang and Myx magazine that would provide me with the right idea
• 6. Post Production SoftwareThe programs I used during the process of the music magazine was adobe Photoshop and paint.net. These two programs were key in creating the magazine. Paint.net is another freeware programme similar to Photoshop and was used in as back up during times when Photoshop was not working.
• 7. Planning and Drafting Research• Online survey applications such as survey monkey was coupled with my printed out questionnaire so that I was able to collect enough data if some could not respond.• Magazine websites also helped in developing as I needed to see the layout and style of the magazines so that the magazine would look as if it is able to sit on the shelves next to its competitors such as ‘Kerrang’ and ‘Q’• Social Networking sites also helped as social networking keeps on expanding and any comments on my magazine would come instantly to me so that I could make changes
